Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP)

The local government infrastructure plan is part of the Livingstone Planning Scheme 2018.

The plan identifies trunk infrastructure which:

  • is integrated with land use planning in the planning scheme;
  • is necessary to support future urban development efficiently and cost effectively;
  • is capable of being funded by Council; and
  • aligns with Council's long-term financial forecasts and asset management plans.

LGIP Amendment

A five-year mandatory review of Council's Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) has been undertaken. To ensure that the plan remains accurate, current and relevant, Council decided at its ordinary meeting on 17 December 2024 to make an LGIP Amendment. A State Government Review stage has been undertaken and Council has been notified that it may progress the LGIP Amendment to the Public Consultation Phase.
