Network Modelling Guidelines

Use these guidelines to ensure your development proposal complies with the Livingstone Planning Scheme 2018, Capricorn Municipal Development Guidelines (CMDG), and Council’s preferred network modelling practices.

  • The objectives of these guidelines are for Livingstone Shire Council to:

    • Provide advice on using software to build models for drainage works within Livingstone Shire.

    • Provide directions on parameters for consistency in developing models and for carrying out network modelling.

    Drainage Modelling Guidelines

  • The purpose of this guideline is to identify Livingstone Shire Council requirements for  modelling of water supply networks where LSC is the registered service provider.

    The principles set out guidelines and standards to create consistency in building network models using modelling software.

    This guideline should be read in conjunction with the CDMG D11 – Design Guidelines for Water Supply Network, and is intended to achieve the Desired Standards of Service as stated in the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP).

    Water Supply Modelling Guidelines

  • The purpose of this guideline is to identify Livingstone Shire Council requirements for network modelling of sewer networks where LSC is the registered service provider.

    The principles set out guidelines and standards to create consistency in building network models using modelling software.

    The guideline should be read in conjunction with the CMDG D-12 Design Guidelines for Sewerage Systems, and is intended to achieve the Desired Standards of Service as stated in the LGIP.

    Sewer Network Modelling Guidelines

  • The objectives of these guidelines are for Livingstone Shire Council to:

    • Provide advice on using software to design stormwater management systems that align with the Livingstone Planning Scheme 2018, and the Queensland Government’s water quality targets; and

    • Provide directions on parameters for consistency in developing models and for carrying out stormwater modelling.

    Drainage Network Modelling Guidelines (Water Quality)

  • The objectives of the guidelines are to guide users in:

    • Developing models with acceptable parameter settings that are appropriate for the local conditions and requirements;

    • Providing a basis for appropriate calibration process, comparison of performance measures and reporting structure;

    • Providing a basis for intersections to be modelled consistently across the jurisdiction.
