There are several local organisations offering supports to young people within our shire.
Some of the key youth services in our region are listed below:

Strengthening Family Connections is funded by the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services to work with children, young people (unborn to 18 years old) and their families on the Capricorn Coast who are in vulnerable situations.

Support for youth regarding homelessness supports.

Are you 15-19 years, disengaged from school and need further support with education, employment, or training? The Level Up Program may be for you!

Headspace Rockhampton respectfully operates on Darumbal land as a place where young people can access support with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.

Anglicare Central Queensland works with people to make the best of their lives. Right across Central Queensland from the Capricorn Coast to the Northern Territory border, we’re working with people of all ages and from all backgrounds, providing services from crisis intervention to long-term support.

The Youth Support Service is a free, safe and confidential service for young people aged 12-25 years who may be experiencing alcohol and drug related issues.

CQID – Central Queensland Indigenous Development is a community controlled organisation dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We offer free and confidential mental health services for children and young people up to 18, with severe or complex mental health needs.

Carers Queensland is working with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to deliver the local area coordination partner in the community program, supporting Australians with disability to live fulfilling and connected lives.

Youth Support Services provides holistic, individualised, practical and case management support for at – risk young people that are 12-21 years of age.

Services include care for the elderly and those living with disability, a range of counselling and dispute resolution, and family & community support and education.
