Keep up to date with all events happening within the Livingstone Shire by registering with Get Involved.  Getting Involved also gives you the opportunity to engage with Council on future projects, community initiatives and allows you to have your say on what's going on in our region.

The Engagement and Events (E & E) team effectively coordinate, plan, support and deliver all Council's major and minor events, functions, civic ceremonies, conferences, summits, and openings etc. The E & E team also provides assistance for all stakeholder engagement in the community.

Council launched its Capricorn Coast Region Event Strategy 2025 in October 2019, with the intention of using this document as the road map for a strategic and coordinated approach to growing existing events and attracting new events within the Livingstone Shire with the aim of putting the Capricorn Coast region on the tourism events map.

Events are one of the best ways to raise community engagement and awareness and are extremely important to the Shire as they contribute to the local community by providing opportunities for social, cultural and economic benefit.

We encourage engagement from the community on new initiatives and projects, as well as feedback and suggestions on proposed community events and projects to help us understand your opinion and views and what you would like to see in the Shire.
