Can I enter any of the Multi Sports Precincts if I am not a member of a club?
Yes. These precincts are available for the community to use for recreation. The gates remain locked as the precinct’s home clubs Cap Coast Netball Association, Cap Coast Touch Association and the Yeppoon Junior Rugby League Club hold licence agreements with Council and have authorised access. This arrangement helps protect the playing fields and clubhouses, and the clubs contribute through an annual licence fee.
Can I walk my dog at a Multi Sports Precinct?
Yes. Please be a responsible pet owner, keep your dog on a lead, outside the playing surfaces and pick up after it.
Can I play a social game of footy at a Multi Sports Precinct?
Yes. Informal recreational use is permitted when fields are not being used for organised sport, training or events.
Can I book a Multi Sports Precinct for a meeting, private event or function?
There is a community meeting room available to book at Barmaryee and Hartley Street location. To book these rooms and/or a field click here.
To maintain the high quality of the fields at all locations for the regular use by sporting clubs; vehicles, stakes, stages, amusement rides or any item that may impact the field quality is not permitted at these locations.
Can I book a tennis court for social use?
Yes. Check out the Yeppoon Tennis Club’s website for details.
Can I practice my golf swing on the fields?
No. Unfortunately, this can cause divots in the field which then require repair – this can cause interruption to sporting competitions.
Please be mindful that the precincts are designed for sporting competition and therefore fields may be in use by a Club or temporary event user. Precincts are available for public use outside of these times.
