Chandler Road Upgrade

Livingstone Shire Council is seeking funding to deliver the full Chandler Road corridor, providing a link from Tanby Road to the Scenic Highway including a connection with Carige Boulevard as part of the continued growth and development of the Taroomball residential precinct.

This critical trunk infrastructure project will unlock the next stage of housing growth in the region, supporting the delivery of approximately 1,800 new residential lots and helping to ensure housing supply can keep pace with increasing demand.

The project will also provide significant transport and connectivity benefits for the wider community by reducing pressure on Taranganba Road, improving network resilience through an additional crossing of Ross Creek, and integrating with the future East West Connector to create a smarter, more connected road network.

As Livingstone Shire continues to grow, Council is proactively planning for the future by advocating for infrastructure investment ahead of demand. Delivering the Chandler Road Upgrade will help manage population growth responsibly, reduce future congestion, support coordinated land release, and maintain the region’s liveability for residents, businesses and visitors.
