Mayor's Christmas Giving Tree Appeal

Mayor's Christmas Giving Tree Appeal

Celebrate the spirit of giving with Livingstone Shire Council’s Mayor’s Christmas Giving Tree Appeal!

After the success of last year’s inaugural appeal, which saw more than 150 items donated and almost 60 hampers delivered to local families, the initiative is returning to help spread hope and joy once again this Christmas.

Residents are encouraged to donate unwrapped non-perishable food and toiletries to support families doing it tough. Donations will be included in Christmas hampers prepared by the iCare Community Project(PDF, 291KB) volunteers at the Yeppoon Community Centre, who assist local individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.

Drop-Off Locations:

  • Woolworths Yeppoon
  • Drakes Emu Park

While toys are appreciated, this year’s appeal is focused on essential items such as food and toiletries, ensuring more families can receive practical support during the festive season.

Please do not donate:

  • Gift vouchers or cash
  • Toys
  • Perishable food
  • Expired items
  •  Used or damaged items

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community last year, the appeal made a real difference to local families. Let’s come together again to make Christmas brighter for everyone in Livingstone Shire.

Donations are accepted until Monday, 22 December November 2025.
