Who are we and what do we offer?
Livingstone Shire Council's Youth Services provide a range of services including information, advice, and referral to the young people of Livingstone Shire (aged 12 to 25) to increase the opportunities of young people within our community. Youth Services can assist young people to find the support they seek locally, whether it be related to school, housing, relationships, boredom or stress.
We can connect young people with locally based;
- Sports and recreation activities
- Arts and cultural opportunities
- Volunteering opportunities

Youth Services can provide individual case management for young people who like to further develop their life skills, coping skills, social skills and self esteem.
This service is available to those aged 12 to 18, living in Yeppoon or Emu Park and at risk of disconnection.
To access this service, please complete a referral form, these can be found in the left hand column of this page or you can complete one online via this link - Youth Support Referral Form.

Youth Services organises a variety of opportunities within the community that appeal to young people to reduce boredom and increase the connection between young people and their community.

The Livingstone Youth Action Group work on a variety of community Projects, the project ideas come from young people and are implemented by young people with Council’s support. View their projects below:

The 2018 Livingstone Youth Needs Analysis was commissioned for the purpose of providing Council with key demographic data, trends, issues, opportunities and other critical information about young people who reside in our Shire.
Council’s Community Partnerships Unit are using this report to aid future planning.

Livingstone Shire Council encourages feedback to continuously improve service delivery. If a complaint is made, services to young people will not be removed and we will continue to work with clients in a respectful manner to ensure young people continue to be supported in achieving their goals.
