Get Involved as Councillor Catch-ups Return Across Livingstone Shire
Livingstone Shire Council is pleased to announce the return of ‘Councillor Catch-ups’ – casual, drop-in sessions designed to give residents across the Shire more opportunities to connect directly with Mayor Adam Belot and Councillors.
Mayor Adam Belot said the initiative reflects Council’s commitment to being accessible and responsive to the community.
“These aren’t formal town hall meetings — they’re relaxed, one-on-one conversations where residents can share their ideas, concerns, or simply come and have a friendly chat,” Mayor Belot said.
“It’s about meeting people where they are and listening to what matters most, in the places they call home.”
After a temporary hiatus, the revitalised programme, formerly known as ‘Resident Reach’, will visit different communities each month, including Stanage Bay, Byfield, Emu Park, Nerimbera, Cawarral, Mt Chalmers, and more. Each session will run for approximately two hours in a welcoming and informal setting.
“We’re taking a whole-of-Shire approach,” Mayor Belot said.
“It’s vital that we hear from everyone — not just those in our larger centres. Every community has its own unique priorities, and we want to hear them all.”
Residents are also encouraged to submit questions, ideas, or concerns ahead of time via the Get Involved online portal. For those unable to attend in person, the portal offers a convenient way to ensure their voices are still heard.
“Your input helps shape Council’s direction and priorities,” Mayor Belot added.
“Councillor Catch-ups are about putting your voice at the centre of our work — wherever you may live in our shire, and we look forward to seeing you soon!”
