Mr Snotbottom Brings the Gross Giggles to Yeppoon
Get ready for snot-loads of laughs when hysterically disgusting kids comedian Mr Snotbottom lands at Yeppoon Town Hall on Saturday 5 July, bringing two side-splitting shows filled with all the slimy, yucky, ooey, gooey topics kids love!
The Peter Pan of putrid and Willy Wonka of weird, Mr Snotbottom delivers a barrage of tasteless tunes, gross out gags and ‘just wrong’ routines in a show for weird kids aged 5 and up and their even weirder parents.
Created and performed by seasoned comedian Mark Trenwith, the show is designed for families to enjoy together.
"It’s not that there’s jokes for parents that go over the littlies’ heads, rather there’s hilarious routines and songs about family relationships so everyone is laughing at each other and with each other,” Trenwith said.
It is “multi-generational comedy for all” as Glam Adelaide picked up in its 5-star review of the show.
With song titles like Ghost In My Loo, Smart About Farts & I Lived in Your Guts, it’s easy to see why this rollercoaster of weirdness continues to win over audiences. Mr Snotbottom even earned a Best Children’s Event Nomination at FRINGE WORLD Festival in 2020.
A stand-up comedian with 15 years’ experience, Trenwith developed the show while working as ‘Captain Starlight’ – a superhero who brings joy to children in hospitals across Australia.
“Children are far more resilient than we give them credit for,” says Trenwith.
“It’s really taught me how much a sense of humour can bring strength and energy into times of difficulty and that’s something I try and remind myself every day.”
