Beach, Boots and Beats delivers stellar line-up for an afternoon of live outdoor entertainment!

Lace up your dancing boots, throw down your picnic blanket and buckle up for an evening full of fantastic live country music and entertainment for the first Beach, Boots and Beats event!

Council is thrilled to present this exciting event to be held on Saturday 4 May from 5pm – 9pm at the Yeppoon foreshore, which will help set the tone for the world-renowned triennial event, Beef24, in Rockhampton from 5 – 11 May.

Taking to the Yeppoon Amphitheatre stage as the event’s headline act is internationally acclaimed three-piece sibling band from Byron Bay known as, The Buckleys.

Joining the line-up are Central Queensland's very own talents: the soulful Brad Butcher and the sensational Denvah, a finalist of Australian Idol 2024.

But it's not just for the grown-ups! Bring the whole family along and enjoy interactive musical sessions with Maggie Moo Music, guaranteed to delight the little ones and the young at heart alike.

A Council spokesperson said the outdoor musical occasion promises residents and visitors a family-friendly evening of toe-tapping fun, celebrating local talent and creating unforgettable memories on the scenic Capricorn Coast.

“We’re proud to present this opportunity to the community to enjoy some impressive performances and family entertainment, where the Yeppoon foreshore is set to transform into a vibrant stage of country music magic,” the spokesperson said.

“This event is the first of its kind as hosted by Council, and we’re encouraging locals and the wider community to come along and see what it’s all about!”

Aside from the stellar musical talent on offer, the Melville’s Pioneer Farm animal nursery and duck races will provide patrons of all ages a hands-on experience with a wide variety of cute, cuddly and unique farm animals!

With plenty of food options available throughout the Yeppoon CBD, showgoers are encouraged to support our local businesses and grab a take-away option to enjoy while watching the show.

Performing Artists Biographies

The Buckley’s

The Buckleys are a three-piece sibling band from Byron Bay, Australia.  Signing with Chris Murphy’s Petrol Records in 2019, the band earned the prestige of being the only other band on the label alongside INXS. 

Under Chris Murphy’s wise tutelage, the band has released five singles from their debut album.

Their debut single, "Daydream,” catapulted the trio into the limelight, scoring a #1 single at Australian Country radio in 2019, followed by the second single, “I’m Comin’ For Ya (Love),” which reached #3 on the same chart.
The Buckleys third single, “Money,” reached #2, and “Breathe,” reached #3. To date the band have amassed over 5.8M total global streams on their debut album, with over 1.3M locally and reached #18 on the ARIA Country chart. 

In 2020, during the global pandemic, The Buckleys partnered with Live Nation for a World Virtual Tour, resulting in playing for over 5 million new fans around the world. 

The Buckleys debut album, “Daydream” was produced by GRAMMY® winning producer / engineer Chad Carlson, their sound is described as ‘Country Pop,’ a genre that embodies the infectious personality and spirited conscience the band maintains.

Lead singer, bass player and songwriter for the band, Sarah Buckley co-wrote their internationally acclaimed debut album “Daydream” which was described by Rolling Stone Magazine as a ‘Masterclass in song writing’. Sarah was also credited as the co-writer of their hit single  “Money,” which was listed in American Songwriters’ "Top 20 Songs of 2020”.

Brad Butcher

If you're even remotely connected to the Australian Country Music scene, there's no way you haven't heard the name, Brad Butcher.

Hailing from the heartland of Country Queensland, Butcher's musical journey took flight in his mid-twenties, and now, at the age of 40, nearing the completion of a Bachelor of Music degree and armed with over a decade of touring and industry experience, he's ready to showcase his musical prowess in his highly anticipated 6th studio album, East Of Everything.

This musical maestro considers it the culmination of his "musical apprenticeship," and boy, does it deliver!

Denvah

Denvah is a singer-songwriter/musician from Rockhampton, Central Queensland. Since her introduction to the Australian Country Music scene in 2018, Denvah has created a stir across the industry.

Denvah’s beautiful yet distinctive voice stops people in their tracks, whilst her down-to-earth appeal and quirky charm connects her with the audience and leaves them feeling right at home.

Denvah’s “natural effervescence is just something you can’t extinguish” (Felicity Urquhart), making her live performances a must-see. With a voice that was made for country music, her rich tone and pitch perfect accuracy is an absolute delight to the ears.
