Mayor Andy Ireland has welcomed the permanent appointment of Livingstone Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Cale Dendle, following the successful completion of his probation period.

Mr Dendle joined Council in February on a four-year appointment with a six-month probation period.

“It is with pleasure that I advise of Mr Dendle’s confirmed appointment,” Mayor Andy Ireland said.

“It’s important to continue building on the solid foundations within Council and the wider community, and Mr Dendle has already made a positive impression on the organisation during his short time with us.

“I look forward to working alongside him and continuing to improve the liveability and prosperity of our Shire.”

Mr Dendle said he was pleased to be officially appointed to the CEO position, and was enthusiastic about his role in shaping the future of Livingstone.

“This past six months has certainly gone quickly but Council has achieved some things in that time,” Mr Dendle said.

“In passing on thanks to the community and Council, I recognise Councillors’ strong sentiment in wanting to see us build on the strengths of the organisation and also continue the process of improvement.

“I look forward to continuing working with the Livingstone community to achieve its aspirations, both now and into the future.”
