Free community workshops on offer in Livingstone

Back

A series of free community workshops, hosted by Livingstone Shire Council’s Community Centre, will kick-off in April for local residents of all ages.

3D printing, learning how to make your money work for you, introducing your children or grandchildren to music, and learning about electric cars are just some of the fun classes on offer.

Portfolio Holder of Healthy Communities, Councillor Pat Eastwood, said topics vary from month-to-month, but they are all designed to bring people together, teach new skills, instil confidence, and make new connections.

“The Baby Beatz workshop is really popular. New mothers get the opportunity to have a break from home life to talk to other parents experiencing the same things,” Cr Eastwood said.

“They can share their experiences, concerns, triumphs, and disasters – or just have a good laugh.

“Dads can also learn a trick or two in the Kids Hair Styling Workshop coming up in May.

“There are lots of fun things for people to do,” he said.
