- The Role

Are you someone who thrives on structure, loves working with detail, and enjoys helping others navigate complex processes? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our Finance and Governance team as a Procurement and Contracts Officer.
In this position, you will be the go-to expert for all things procurement—facilitating tenders, managing contracts, and helping teams across Council get the goods and services they need, the right way. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure our procurement practices are compliant, transparent, and delivering value for money.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate end-to-end procurement and tendering processes.
- Provide expert advice on procurement and contract management.
- Support contract negotiations and resolving supplier issues.
- Help improve systems, policies, and procedure.
- Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Administer procurement systems and staying across legislative changes.

- Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Qualifications in Procurement, Contract Management, or a related field—or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement legislation and contract law.
- Great communication and negotiation skills.
- A knack for juggling priorities and staying organised.
- Confidence using procurement systems like VendorPanel, Finance One, or similar.
- A current driver licence.
