ICare Community Project
The ICare Community Project helps to support local men, women and families currently experiencing significant financial stress. Our mission is to support and encourage residents of the Shire to maintain a sense of hope when experiencing personal hardship, and not give up.
How do I know if I'm eligible?
- Resident of Livingstone Shire Council
- Currently receiving or in the process of applying for Centrelink Support Payment
- Experiencing significant financial distress
- Has not accessed ICare in the past 6 months
What is my allocation?
Single Person - $70
Family (one child) - $100
Family (two children) - $130
Family (three children) - $160
Family (four+ children) - $180
If you require assistance and are experiencing personal issues, the Community Centre is able to connect you to a wide range of service and support options.

What can I do to help?
The Community Centre accepts donations for the following programs:
ICare Community Project
- Direct money donations can be made at Customer Service or Yeppoon Community Centre. 100% of funds are used to provide Grocery and Fuel only vouchers to people seeking assistance.
- Non-perishable foods and long-life milk. The most needed items are advertised monthly as part of the ICare Pantry appeal on Yeppoon Community Centre Facebook Page.
Dignity First Laundry and Washroom
- Washing powder, shampoo and conditioner, soap and deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
