Livingstone’s Got Talent Returns for 2026

Livingstone Shire Council is thrilled to announce the return of Livingstone’s Got Talent for 2026, with Mayor Adam Belot encouraging young local performers to take centre stage and showcase their creativity.
Mayor Belot said the return of the free talent quest reflects Council’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people to connect, grow and celebrate their talents.
“Livingstone’s Got Talent is about more than just performing, it’s about building confidence, encouraging creativity and giving our young people the chance to shine in front of their community,” Mayor Belot said.
“Last year’s inaugural event was a fantastic success, and it was inspiring to see so much talent on display. We’re excited to bring it back bigger and better in 2026 and provide another opportunity for our young people to step into the spotlight.”
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the talent quest is open to Livingstone Shire residents aged 5 to 19 years and welcomes a wide variety of performances, including singing, dancing, comedy, magic, acting, martial arts, instrumental music and more.
Recreation and Culture Co-Chair Councillor Andrea Friend said Council was excited to build on the success of last year’s event and encouraged young performers to get involved.
“We’re delighted to see Livingstone’s Got Talent return for a second year. Last year we had a fantastic group of young performers take part, and we’re looking forward to welcoming even more talented entrants this year,” Cr Friend said.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to showcase their talents, build confidence and enjoy performing in front of a supportive local audience.
“I encourage anyone who’s been thinking about entering to apply. It’s free to enter, so have fun and give it a go.”
All participants must be Livingstone Shire residents. Entrants under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at both the auditions and the Grand Final.
Applications open on 1 July and close on 30 August. Auditions will be held at the Yeppoon Town Hall on 20 September, with finalists competing in the Grand Final on 4 October.
Finalists will compete for prizes across a variety of age groups and talent categories.
