Health and Wellness Expo Returns to Help Livingstone Live Well
Published on 08 July 2026
Livingstone Shire Council is inviting the community to Beaman Park, Yeppoon, on Saturday 1 August as the Livingstone Health & Wellness Expo returns for its third year, bringing together local sports clubs, health professionals, fitness providers and wellbeing organisations for a free morning of inspiration, education and fun.
The family-friendly event aims to promote health and wellbeing within the community by showcasing the wide range of services, activities and programs available across the region.
The Expo will provide opportunities for visitors to connect with local organisations, discover new activities, access expert advice and learn practical ways to support their physical, mental and social wellbeing.
Livingstone Shire Mayor Adam Belot said Council was proud to once again host the Health and Wellness Expo, creating opportunities for residents to discover local services and take positive steps towards healthier lifestyles.
"The Health and Wellness Expo reflects Council's commitment to creating a healthy, active and connected community," Mayor Belot said.
"One of the greatest strengths of Livingstone is the incredible range of clubs, organisations, businesses and health professionals who are passionate about improving the wellbeing of our community, and this event brings them all together in one place."
"Whether you're taking the first step on your health journey or looking for new ways to stay active and connected, the Expo is a fantastic opportunity to discover what's available locally and be inspired to make positive lifestyle choices."
Recreation and Culture Portfolio Co-Lead, Councillor Lance Warcon, said the Expo had become a popular annual event that continues to grow each year.
"It's fantastic to see the Health and Wellness Expo return for its third year and continue building momentum within our community," Cr Warcon said.
"Health and wellbeing means different things to different people, which is why this event offers something for everyone. From sporting clubs and fitness providers to health services and wellbeing experts, there's plenty to explore."
"Bring the family along, have a chat with our exhibitors, join in the activities and you might just discover a new hobby, service or healthy habit that becomes part of your everyday life."
Building on the success of previous years, the 2026 Expo will once again feature health and wellness displays, educational presentations and demonstrations, health screenings, children's activities including face painting and crafts, competitions, prizes and giveaways.
A full program of presentations and demonstrations will run throughout the morning, with exhibitors sharing practical advice, expert knowledge and interactive experiences designed to encourage healthier lifestyles.
Sports journalist and former breakfast radio announcer Brad Villiers will MC this year's Expo.
"It’s a real privilege to be part of this year’s Health and Wellness Expo. As someone who spends a lot of time covering sport and celebrating active lifestyles, I love seeing communities come together around health, fitness and wellbeing."
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone on the day and helping showcase the incredible opportunities available right here in Livingstone. It’s a fun, positive event, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.”
Council encourages residents to bring along family and friends and make the most of this free community event.
