Livingstone Shire Council is delighted to announce its final School Holiday Program for 2025, delivering another fun-filled schedule of activities and events designed to bring families together and celebrate the magic of the season.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Capricorn Coast and wider Livingstone Shire region, this year’s program features something for everyone – from creative workshops and outdoor adventures to beloved community traditions and festive favourites.

Two major highlights include the much-loved Christmas North Pole Wonderland, returning with crafts, soft play, gingerbread house making, face painting, balloon twisting, carollers and daily Santa visits; and the spectacular New Year’s Eve at the Beach Live Music and Laser Show, set to light up Yeppoon Foreshore as we welcome 2026.

Recreation and Culture Portfolio Co-Lead, Councillor Lance Warcon said Council’s school holiday programs continue to grow in popularity each year, with families eagerly returning to make new memories together.

“This year’s line-up of activities and events reflects the vibrant, community-focused spirit that defines the Livingstone Shire region,” Cr Warcon said.

“Every year, our school holiday program becomes more popular, and it’s truly heart-warming to see so many families getting involved.

“We’re incredibly proud to offer such a diverse range of events that not only entertain but also connect our community.

“None of this would be possible without the support of our fantastic community groups, local businesses, Council staff, and the individuals who go above and beyond to help deliver these activities. Thank you for helping make this holiday season special for families across Livingstone Shire.”

The program features almost 30 events across December and January, including:
