Books & Brunch with author Lachlan Terry

Next date: Monday, 26 October 2026 | 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Join author Lachlan Terry for a fascinating Books & Brunch event celebrating the stories, people and landscapes of outback Australia.

Raised on a sheep and cattle property in western Queensland, Lachlan draws on a lifetime of experiences, family history and a deep connection to the bush in his memoir, Memories Belonga Me. Through a blend of personal stories, oral history and historical research, the book preserves the rich heritage of pioneering families and station life for future generations.

During this special event, Lachlan will share insights into his writing journey, the inspiration behind Memories Belonga Me, and the importance of recording family stories before they are lost. Guests will also hear about his experiences living with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS), and the resilience, determination and positive outlook that have shaped his remarkable life.

Enjoy a relaxed morning of conversation, storytelling and community connection while discovering a unique slice of Queensland's rural history.

This is a free event.
