Community Spaces

The Community Centre

The Community Centre is partly funded through the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy.

The Community Centre provides residents with a public community hubspace that is safe, welcoming, vibrant, accessible, and available to all.

The Community Centre offers:

  • Supportive information and referral pathways for assistance;
  • Opportunities for residents to attend Rockhampton Outreach services in Yeppoon;
  • Participation in programmes and activities that build skills and offer life-long learning opportunities; 
  • Affordable meeting spaces for local computer groups that are safe, welcoming, vibrant and accessible;
  • Workshops, discussions, displays and social events in areas such as arts and crafts, health and fitness, and personal development activities

Community spaces at the Community Centre are available to hire to individuals, not for profit community groups, clubs and associations, government agencies, businesses and not for profit visiting outreach services. To make a booking please email communitycentre@livingstone.qld.gov.au with your type of activity, preferred date, time and duration of activity, number of expected people attending and your name, phone number and email address. Dignity First Washroom

The Dignity First Washroom is located at The Community Centre. The washroom provides free and accessible use of a private washing machine, dryer, toilet, shower and sanitary products for any community member experiencing hardship. Available Monday - Sunday from 9.00am to 4:00pm
