Livingstone Shire Council is inviting residents to help shape the future of Livingstone by taking part in a new community survey.

Mayor Adam Belot said the survey is an important opportunity for every voice in the community to be heard.

“We all know Livingstone Shire is a very special place to call home, but this survey is about understanding why people feel that way, and what we can do to make our region an even better place for everyone,” Mayor Belot said.

“Your feedback will influence Council’s future decisions and ensure our focus is on the issues that matter most to our community.

“Whether it’s about improving safety, protecting our natural environment, or making housing more affordable, we want to hear your views.”

The survey asks locals about the things that matter most to them; from safety and housing affordability to natural spaces and community wellbeing, as well as how they feel about living in the Shire.

This anonymous survey is being conducted in partnership with leading Australian demographic consultancy Informed Decisions (.id) and takes just 5–10 minutes to complete.

Participants will also have the chance to enter a draw to win one of five $100 Eftpos vouchers as a thank you for their time.

Mayor Belot encouraged all residents to get involved.

“This is your chance to shape the future of Livingstone Shire,” Mayor Belot said.

“I strongly encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their experiences and ideas.

“Together, we can make sure our Shire continues to thrive - not just for today, but for generations to come.”

If you do not get the call from Informed Decisions (.id) to participate in the survey, you can still have your say at: https://getinvolved.livingstone.qld.gov.au/livingstone-shire-views-survey.
