The Role

Council is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join the Digital Transformation & Innovation team. The Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in Council’s digital transformation initiatives by analysing, designing and supporting the implementation of business solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, analyse processes and document system requirements.
  • Support the design, configuration and implementation of business systems and digital solutions.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to business processes, including opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Coordinate testing, data activities and validation to ensure systems meet business and governance requirements.
  • Support change management by delivering training, documentation and user engagement to enable successful adoption.

Mandatory requirement:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Analysis or Project Management, or extensive equivalent experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in large enterprise environments.
  2. Demonstrated experience supporting complex business applications and system implementations within large organisations, preferably local government.
  3. Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in leading change management initiatives for Business Application systems within a Local Government environment.
  2. Previous project experience in TechnologyOne, Pathway or Aurion business system implementations within a local government environment.
  3. Experience in implementing continuous improvement processes within project management practices such as Prince2, PMBOK or similar.
