Livingstone Shire Council is encouraging residents, businesses and visitors to use the Snap Send Solve app to report local issues following recent heavy rainfall and flooding across the region.

The recent weather event has resulted in a range of impacts across the Shire, including fallen branches, damaged footpaths, debris, potholes, signage issues and impacts to parks and public spaces. Council is asking the community to help by reporting issues as they see them, using the free Snap Send Solve app.

Mayor Adam Belot said the app provides a simple and effective way for the community to partner with Council during recovery efforts and beyond.

“We know how much our community cares about Livingstone Shire and the places we all share,” Mayor Belot said.

“After significant rain and flooding, conditions can change quickly. Snap Send Solve allows residents to let us know what they’re seeing on the ground, helping Council respond faster and prioritise works where they’re needed most.”

Snap Send Solve is an easy-to-use online and mobile reporting tool already used by councils across Australia and New Zealand. Livingstone Shire Council officially launched the platform to strengthen collaboration with the community and improve how local issues are reported and resolved.

“With one simple snap, users can report issues such as storm damage, fallen trees, damaged roads or footpaths, missing or damaged signage, park and playground issues, overgrown vegetation, vandalism and more,” Mayor Belot said.

“The report goes directly to the appropriate Council team, making it quicker and easier for us to respond.”

Council’s partnership with Snap Send Solve includes advanced system integration to support end-to-end management of customer requests and deliver an improved user experience.

Key benefits include:

  • Optimised report handling through streamlined internal workflows
  • Improved first-point resolution with more accurate reporting
  • A more seamless customer experience from lodgement to resolution
  • Real-time insights and analytics to support informed planning and service delivery
  • Stronger support for service and operations teams across the organisation

“Community reporting is growing because people genuinely want to play an active role in looking after their neighbourhoods,” Mayor Belot said.

“This tool gives everyone a simple way to be part of the solution—especially during recovery periods like this, when timely information really matters.”

Residents are encouraged to download Snap Send Solve and report any post-weather impacts they notice while out and about, helping Council keep the region safe, clean and accessible.

The Snap Send Solve app is free to download and available now.
