In this position, you will:
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater reticulation networks, helping to keep critical services flowing for local residents.
- Play an important role in capital works projects, including installing or refurbishing pipes, mains, and key infrastructure across the network.
- Undertake hydrant testing, valve servicing, and backflow prevention activities that contribute to public safety and system reliability.
- Operate a variety of plant, tools, and equipment essential to maintaining and improving the network.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safety‑focused team environment where everyone looks out for each other.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Plumbing Trade qualifications and possess a current Queensland Plumber and Drainer Licence;
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card);
- Currently possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a Backflow Prevention endorsement, Working at Heights Certificate, Confined Space Certification and Traffic Management Implementation certification; and
- Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
