Our vision is to be A prosperous region for families, business, and future generations. We are committed to creating a vibrant, resilient, and inclusive community where people thrive, nature is protected, and innovation drives progress.

Our work is guided by four strategic pillars:

  1. Growth to Fund Service Delivery - Strategic investments and development to create sustainable revenue streams that support quality community services.
  2. Services That Meet Customer Expectations - Responsive, accessible and high-quality services that address the evolving needs of residents and businesses.
  3. Efficiency in Delivery - Streamlined processes, elimination of red tape, and smart resource allocation to maximise value for ratepayers and opportunity for Business diversity and growth.

We are looking for a detail-driven, tech-savvy professional who loves systems, data, and making things work better. If you thrive on precision, innovation, and collaboration, this is your chance to make a real impact.

What you will doing:

If you love spreadsheets, databases and spatial data, then this is the job for you.  You will help contribute to the shaping of how we manage 1.8 billion dollars worth of council owned assets, including land, roads, parks, fleet and many more.  Here is how you’ll make your mark:

  • Maintain the integrity of Council’s Asset Management System (Conquest) and GIS (ESRI) by ensuring asset data is accurate, validated and complete, supporting strategic decision‑making and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance in asset-related submissions by reviewing as‑constructed documentation, digitising this information into Council’s GIS and AMS, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to uphold Council’s standards.
  • Contribute to process and procedure improvements by supporting the ongoing review of Council’s asset data in both the GIS and AMS, ensuring alignment between these systems and what exists in the real world.
  • Undertake the financial capitalisation and registration of gifted and Council‑constructed assets in accordance with Council’s financial, asset management and reporting frameworks.

What you will bring:

You are not just good with data, you understand what it means for the big picture.  Here is what sets you apart:

  • A strong eye for detail, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, project documentation and costings, and translate this information into GIS datasets (points, lines and polygons) and asset records within the asset register.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with internal teams, contractors and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Solid skills in asset management systems, GIS and local government financial processes, supported by an inquisitive mindset and a genuine desire to learn and improve.
  • A motivated and collaborative approach, thriving in a high‑intensity, close‑knit team that consistently punches above its weight.

Bonus points for:

  • GIS integration or workflow wizardry that makes processes smoother and smarter.
  • Technology One Finance or Asset Management digital innovation experience — we love clever solutions.

Know‑how with water and sewer assets — pipes, pumps, treatment plants and all the good stuff in-between.
