Werribee Creek Timber Bridge Replacement – Werribee Road

The project involves the design and construction a new concrete bridge to replace the existing timber bridge on Werribee Road, Canal Creek. The existing timber bridge has reached the end of its serviceable design life, with load restrictions put in place to ensure the structure remains safe until a new structure is built. 

Benefits

The new concrete bridge will replace the existing dilapidated structure and increase the mass limit to 47 tonne, reduce future maintenance requirements and improve safety of the structure.

Doonside Timber Bridge Replacement – Doonside Road

The project involves the design and construction a new concrete bridge to replace the existing bridge on Doonside Road, Canal Creek. The existing timber bridge has reached the end of its serviceable design life and has been closed to traffic in early 2020 due to the structure being unsafe for ongoing use. A temporary side track has been constructed until a new structure is built.

Benefits 

The new concrete bridge will replace the existing dilapidated structure and be reopened to traffic with an increased mass limit of 47 tonne. The project will also reduce future maintenance requirements and improve safety of the structure.
