Car Park and Access Closures for Christmas Decoration Installation

Livingstone Shire Council advises that temporary closures will be in place next week to allow for the safe installation of Christmas decorations and lighting in Norfolk Pine trees on the Yeppoon Foreshore and Emu Park CBD.

The car park opposite the Strand Hotel will be closed from 6:00am Monday, 24 November and will reopen at 1:00pm Wednesday, 26 November.

Entry to Bell Park, Emu Park, will be closed from 6:30am Wednesday, 26 November and will reopen at 5:00pm Friday, 28 November.

These closures are required to:

• Ensure there is adequate turning space for machinery needed for installation.
• Provide a safe exclusion zone (fall zone) in the event of falling debris (Norfolk Pines are currently fruiting)
