The Role
This position supports Council’s direction by providing preventative and reactive maintenance and new construction of the Council's water and wastewater reticulation systems in a professional, efficient and confidential manner ensuring the development of good working relationships with all staff and the public.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Trade qualifications to operate as a Licensed Plumber and Drainer in Queensland (to obtain classification at Building Tradesperson Level 3, additional post trade qualifications/competency in accordance with the QLGIA (Stream C) is required);
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card); 
  • Currently possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a Backflow Prevention endorsement from the Master Plumbers Association of Queensland; 
  • Currently possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a Working at Heights Certificate; 
  • Currently possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a Confined Space Certification and maintain revalidation; 
  • Currently possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a Traffic Management Implementation (formerly Traffic Management Level 2); and 
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle drivers licence.
