School holidays set to be a blast in Livingstone Shire with events and activities galore

Back

Community members across Livingstone Shire and surrounds have been invited to have their say about what events and activities they would like Council to deliver over peak holiday periods.

Portfolio Holder of Vibrant Community (Tourism, Arts, Culture), Councillor Rhodes Watson, said this is their chance to tell Council what ideas they would like to see come to life over the next school holiday period.

“Pop-up inflatables at public pools, outdoor movie nights, a giant chess board, carnival rides at local parks, a pop-up ice-skating rink and community fun run are just some of the ideas we have received so far,” Cr Watson said.

To add to the holiday wish-list please visit Council’s Get Involved page at https://getinvolved.livingstone.qld.gov.au/school-holiday-ideas.

“This will help Council make informed decisions about events that best suit everybody.”

Community consultation is open from April 12 – April 23.
