(Cassie - YRYC)
Since 1994, the Yeppoon Recreational Youth Club (YRYC) Inc. has had a deed of agreement with Livingstone Shire Council. Under this agreement the club manages and maintains the heritage listed Queen Street Community Hall.
As custodians, the organisation enables private individuals to hold classes such as yoga, pilates and karate on a weekly basis (please see 'What's on at the Hall?' for the current timetable).
YRYC also facilitates the use of the hall by other community groups and local residents interested in holding community events. As a neutral community space, the hall is not available for hire for political or religious purposes.
After successfully obtaining a community grant, the organisation orchestrated the installation of a commercial kitchen.
