Council and COVID-19

Queensland Health is the lead agency responsible for responding to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and we will be supporting them by ensuring our community is kept informed and updated on the latest news.

Anyone with health concerns can call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) or find up-to-date reliable information on the Queensland Health website and the Australian Government Department of Health website.

The Queensland Government has also created a dedicated webpage for all COVID-19 information:

COVID-19 Council closures (until further notice):

  • All public swimming pools, including the Yeppoon Lagoon & Keppel Kraken
  • All libraries
  • The Community Centre
  • All Council buildings are closed to the public
  • The Tip Shop (waste facilities as per normal)
  • All public playgrounds, skate parks & some public toilets
  • Car Wash at Multi-Storey Car Park Yeppoon

A community recovery hotline is up and running by the Queensland Government to help those who are in quarantine.

Hotline staff can help arrange non-contact delivery of essential food and medication to people in quarantine with no other means of support.
