Yeppoon
A 30 minute drive from Rockhampton delivers
you to one of the prettiest places …. Yeppoon and The Capricorn Coast.
Yeppoon is the major town centre in
Livingstone Shire. It has a population of approximately 11500, a busy town
centre, shopping plaza, many beautiful beaches, Resorts, Hotels, Motels
and accommodation units. Rosslyn Bay Harbour is the take off point to Great Keppel Island
and the other Keppel Bay islands.
Yeppoon has a full compliment of service clubs and
organisations such as QCWA, RSL, Lions, Lioness & Rotary clubs,
Sporting Organisations as well as the Capricorn Coast Tourist
Organisation and Capricorn Coast Chamber of Commerce. Educational
facilities include St Brendan's College, St Ursula's College, Yeppoon
State High School, Yeppoon Primary School, Taranganba Primary School
and Sacred Heart Catholic School. There
are two hospitals in Yeppoon, The Mater Hospital in Cliff Street and the
Yeppoon branch of the Rockhampton Base Hospital on the beachfront. The
Shire's Administration Building and main depot are based in Yeppoon.
