The Business Industry Scoping Study
Review (BISS) was completed by Spiller Gibbons Swan (SGS) Economics and
Planning Pty Ltd in January 2002. The study was a review of a 1997
report, and reflects recent changes to business and industry sectors in
the wider region, and the intentions of the new IPA planning scheme for
Livingstone Shire.
The shire's Statement of Proposals for the IPA Planning Scheme
identified the need to address business and industry opportunities.
A 1997 report identified new business and industry opportunities in the
Livingstone Shire and nominated parcels of land to be serviced for the
future establishment of industries.
The over-riding recommendations of the study will be dovetailed into
Council's new IPA Planning Scheme. The Business Industry Scoping
Study was adopted by Council at its General Meeting on 27th February
2002. (Click here for resolution)
