Keppel Sands & Joskeleigh

Keppel Sands & Joskeleigh on the Capricorn Coast are ideal spots for a quiet relaxing holiday. Fishing, crabbing and gardening are popular hobbies with many retired folk living in these areas.

The Sandhills Community Sports & Social Club run buses for social activities and every Tuesday morning craft classes are held and on Tuesday afternoons residents can try their hands at Bocce (French Bowls).
Sunday mornings a sausage sizzle is held following more games of Bocce.

Keppel Sands Advancement League meet every three months to address the needs of the residents and ratepayers.

The Coastguard and Rural Fire Brigade play an active part in this close-knit community.
In October 1999 the official opening of the Amenities Block of the Keppel Sandhills Community & Sports Club took place

The Joskeleigh South Sea Islander Community Development Association run Hoy once a month in the Larcombe Hall at 1.30pm on the first Saturday of the month.
