    Nominate your valuable neighbour! Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood. This year's Neighbour Day is on the 26th of March 2017. We know that in Livingstone we have some of the best neighbours!! We would love to hear from you about your valuable neighbour. All nominees will be acknowledged and celebrated as part of Neighbour Day 2017. The winning entry will receive a 'valuable neighbour' prize pack.   2. Livingstone Shire Council/Keppel Bay Sailing Club/Inverness Yeppoon Community Grants Scheme

    6 February, 8:30 AM - 17 March, 5:00 PM

    Non-profit organisations across the Shire are encouraged to apply for the grants of up to $5000. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and be operating out of Livingstone Shire Council's Local Government Area providing services or activities that benefit residents and improve overall community wellbeing.

    Become a confident Speaker in a Friendly Atmosphere. Speechcraft is an internationally recognised programme designed to develop your public speaking ability and so much more. Learn how to write an impactful speech and use your voice and gestures to create lasting impressions. Gain confidence in all aspects of communication, including prepared and spontaneous speeches, body language, active listening, and critical evaluation. Be empowered with the skills to take control of any environment in which you've been asked to speak and wow your audience.   4. Are you struggling with your mental or emotional health? - Grow Support Group Meets Weekly

    22 February, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Community Development Centre (in the shed)

    Grow meetings are based on the learned experience of people who have come through significant mental and emotional challenges to a healthier life. The meetings provide personal development, acceptance, encouragement, friendship, inspiration, and mutual support for participants. Some of the problems Grow has helped people to manage are depression, anxiety, relationship breakdown, isolation, grief, addictions, stress, compulsions and diagnosed mental illnesses.
