  1. Livingstone Community Grants

    The Livingstone Community Grants provide funding to community groups and sporting clubs to deliver innovative projects and programmes that respond to local community needs. The current round provides up to $2000.00 for not-for-profit community groups and sporting clubs. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and be operating out of the Livingstone Shire Council's Local Government Area providing programmes or activities that benefit residents, and improve overall community well-being.   10. Flying Fox - Caring and Rescuing Training Sessions

    23 February - 24 February, 5:00 PM @ Community Centre, Yeppoon (Rooms A&B)

    *How to handle and care for Flying-fox that are orphaned or injured *How to rescue flying-fox on barb wire, on the ground or in a tree. If you are interested in flying-fox and would like to become a carer or a rescuer, or both or you would like to understand more about the species, please come along to the upcoming training sessions. If you are interested in attending please contact Joy Davison-Lee on joydavisonlee@gmail.com to book a place. This year we have had mass deaths of flying fox numbered in their thousands up and down the Queensland Coast from heat stress and starvation. Locally we believe we have lost at least 5,000 from heat stress alone, now we have a starvation episode with loss of food from bush fires and continued development and loss of food trees

  14. Confident, Inspired and Ready for Work - Free Program for people aged 15-24.

    28 February, 9:30 AM - 29 March, 3:00 PM @ Community Education Room - Level 2 - The Hub - Beaman Park, James St, Yeppoon.

    A free five week program for young people to become ready for work. Includes; resume preparation and writing; job interview skills; technology skills, networking with employers; information on employment and educational pathways; dressing for an interview and more! Facilitated by the Women's Health Centre. Bookings essential. Intake interviews will take place on the 11th and 18th of February 2019. Call to book your spot!
