Arts & Music

  1. No Lycra No Lights - NLNL

29 August, 7:15 PM - 8:15 PM @ Queen Street Community Hall, Yeppoon

NLNL brings people together to experience freedom of self-expression and joy. No Lights No Lycra is an dance community that started in Melbourne by unruly dance students Alice Glenn and Heidi Barrett in 2009. There is no light, no lycra, no teacher, no steps to learn, no technique, just free movement. When was the last time you went out dancing? Reclaim an hour a week just for you…its good for your body, mind and soul. NLNL is a space where you can completely let go, shake out the stresses of the week, and lose yourself in the music and the physicality of your body. We have created a non-pretentious place to completely be yourself, where you can dance however you like without dealing with all of the social nuances of dancing in public. At the heart of NLNL is the belief that everyone ( yes everyone ) can dance.
