Byfield

Byfield surrounded by the State Forest is a reclusive area ideally suited for many artists with the Wompoo Gallery, Nob Tree Creek Pottery and Fern’s Hideaway to visit along with the Byfield & District Historical Society Raspberry Creek Homestead.
Byfield is also well known for its Byfield fern which has been commercially picked since 1920 and is exported overseas.
The Area is very interesting due to the unique flora and the 250 residents enjoy the cooler climate Byfield offers.

Many locals have hobby farms and grow exotic tropical fruits.

A further four-wheel drive on from Byfield takes you to Five Rocks to the most majestic untouched beaches that can be found along with great fishing.

The State Forest offers camping areas such as Red Rock, Waterpark and Stoney Creek ideal for day trips and picnics.
