Free Ed Sheeran Tribute Show at Yeppoon foreshore kicks off the New Year with a bang

Visitors and residents of the Capricorn Coast will receive a special late Xmas present when the Ed Sheeran Tribute Show takes to the stage at the Yeppoon Amphitheatre this Friday evening.

International artist Ed Sheeran is renowned as one of the best in modern music, and the community is being invited along to enjoy his hits at the free tribute concert.

The family friendly ‘alcohol free’ event, being jointly hosted by Livingstone Shire Council and The Strand Hotel, will feature popular touring performer and musician Andy Mackay bringing Ed Sheeran’s music to life on stage and offering a great night of live entertainment.

Mayor Bill Ludwig said the concert was shaping up to be a big night for the Capricorn Coast, with a large crowd expected to attend.

“The Ed Sheeran Tribute show is one of the first touring events to be performed on the newly-constructed Beach Amphitheatre Stage, and is a show that the whole community and age groups will certainly enjoy,” Mayor Ludwig said.

“This new stage will allow our region to host more exciting acts on tour who are passing through our area, giving the community more choice and new experiences that we may have not been able to accommodate before.

“I must thank The Strand Hotel for their support in bringing this event to the Capricorn Coast, and encourage everybody to come along, bring your friends and a picnic blanket and enjoy a fantastic evening of live music.”

The show will start from 6pm, with a support act opening for the We Found Love Ed Sheeran Tribute performance. This is an alcohol free event. For more information go to
