Education Entrepreneurs

Located in Yeppoon and Emu Park, Alternative Learning Spaces is a flexible learning environment designed primarily for Years 10 – 12 students who are disengaged with mainstream schooling and seek an educational pathway that will lead to employment. Completion of the program provides students with vast opportunities to further their education or source future employment.   Volunteers in this programme require a blue card for working with young people and undergo criminal history screening under the blue card system administered by the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian. As a volunteer in the Alternative Learning Space programme you can expect to contribute to the educational and developmental outcomes of Livingstone youth who will ultimately play an active role in the development of our community.
